Maybe she did the aegyo so Sooyoung wouldn't have to feel bad when she turned around and only saw Taeyeon.

Taeyeon is actually good at doing aegyo, it comes out natural and unintentionally because she has a cute face anyway.
But she hates it, Sooyoung back then once said to Taeyeon when she admitted she hate Gee concept "You are full of aegyo but you don't realise it".
It's showing when she's happy.
